# DamonSalvatore.app FAQ

## What is the Damon Salvatore AI trend?

A TikTok and Reels trend inspired by Damon Salvatore, the smirking vampire of The Vampire Diaries. People post AI videos where they take Damon's place — most often in the church walk captioned "Replace my namesake with me", where the mourners turn around as the lead walks in, crosses himself lazily and smirks. The earlier version is the Damon edit, a moody smirk montage. This site makes either clip from one photo.

## Which templates can I make?

Two. Replace My Namesake is the 20-second church walk, followed by a convertible, sunlit trees, a night party and a kitchen. The Damon Edit is the 17-second montage: a slow smirk in a dark room, a walk through the mist, a vampire-eyes close-up, a convertible and a cold stare.

## Can girls do the Damon Salvatore trend?

Yes. The video keeps the face, hair and outfit from your photo, so a woman's photo gives a woman walking into the church or starring in the Damon edit.

## What photo works best?

One adult, facing the camera, both eyes visible, head to waist, in daylight or a bright room. Avoid sunglasses, masks, heavy filters, mirror selfies and group photos. A dark jacket over a plain top gets closest to the classic look. Photos need at least 90,000 pixels.

## Does the video have sound?

No — the export is silent. When you post on TikTok, tap "Add sound" and pick the trend's sound from the original church-walk posts so your video shows up under the trend; on Reels, add audio the same way.

## Is there a free trial?

No. Sign-in and a credit pack are required. The $9 pack adds 900 credits — enough for one 20-second church walk at 480p (680 credits) or one 17-second Damon edit at 480p (578 credits).

## Can I use a photo of Ian Somerhalder or another celebrity?

No. Photos of Ian Somerhalder, any other cast member, celebrities, public figures and minors are not allowed. Use your own photo or one of an adult who agreed.

## Is the video square or vertical?

Square 1:1, the format the trend clips use. TikTok and Reels show it with bars, or you can zoom it to fill the screen in the app's editor.

## Is DamonSalvatore.app affiliated with The Vampire Diaries?

No. It is an independent fan-made tool, not affiliated with The CW, Warner Bros., Alloy Entertainment, Ian Somerhalder or any cast member. It uses no footage or stills from the show.

## What happens if generation fails?

When a task is confirmed as failed, its charged credits are returned automatically after refund processing. Refresh your balance; contact support if credits remain missing.
